Director of Special Education

Dear Students, Families, Staff, and Community Members,

It is with tremendous enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new Director of Special Education for Ligonier Valley School District. As I begin my 27th year in education, I am truly honored to join a district dedicated to ensuring every student receives a high-quality education that meets their individual needs.

My career in education has been both extensive and rewarding. I began as an elementary and special education teacher, experiences that molded my belief in the power of relationships and the importance of meeting each student where they are. I also have had the privilege of serving as an Educational Consultant with the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit 7, supporting educators in their professional growth. Prior to coming to Ligonier Valley School District, I served as an assistant principal 9-12 and principal K-5.

Throughout my career, one guiding principle has remained constant: every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed, while valuing their unique strengths and abilities. I look forward to collaborating with our incredible staff, students, families, and community partners to continue to build programs and practices that ensure each student can thrive.

The warm welcome is greatly appreciated, and I am excited for the journey ahead and look forward to meeting many of you in the coming weeks. Together, we will make a lasting difference in the lives of our students.
