LVE Letter to Parents - March 19, 2020
Dear Learners and Families,
During this mandatory school closing, we would like to serve you with the best possible online learning experiences. We will work together to make sure that everyone is supported as we progress through this unexpected and challenging time. We will continue to provide a personalized and high quality education for each learner, just as if each learner was in our building.
This week, all of the homeroom and learning support teachers have been reaching out to the learners' families to ensure they have the correct email. Through email, your child’s teacher will notify you of how their instruction will be delivered. In addition, each teacher will have links emailed to you that will allow you and/or your learner to enter online Zoom meetings for lessons, tutoring or support from their teacher. If you are having difficulty with technology, your learner(s) should start working on their educational packet that was sent home with them last week. A parent or guardian should then contact the school for assistance.
Families and learners should do their best to maintain a schedule that allows time for appropriate rest, schoolwork, time to check in with the teacher(s) and family time. Learners will also have the opportunity to interact and complete learning activities in all of the special areas.
We hope that the mandatory school closure is short lived and that each of you stay safe and healthy. We look forward to seeing all of our learners back in school as soon as possible.
